I'm in the same boat as you. I was addicted to heroin on and off until 2008. My husband and I quit together. We have two young children. I caught him using dust off and left until he stopped. He probably did it about a month.
He quit and I came back home. I found a half empty can and was curious what the appeal was. So I tried it. This was about two or three months ago. I quit for 3 and a half weeks and went back to it. The funny thing is is that I don't even like it, but I still can't stop. I've been reading posts all morning and seeing how many people die from this poison. I'm determined to quit.
I've been to rehab many times in the past. I never went willingly though. I don't agree w being able to buy sobriety, but sometimes you need that time away just to get your barings back.
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Is this the only drug that you do? My drug use always stems from depression. Im not being nosey, just getting to understand this poison.
I wish you luck and in my experience, if you want to quit something bad enough, you will. Have someone take your car keys, your $......anything that will allow you to buy it.....just until you are strong enough to get then back. When is not accessible, you don't think about it as much.
I gave my husband everything a few days ago. I don't know your situation, but most addicts have underlying mental issues. Therapy might be a good idea.
Keep me posted, as I'll do the same. Be positive, we got this!

Sorry I read your post wrong. I thought you were still doing it. Maybe you should see a psychiatrist, your brain chemistry may be off.....or even your regular doctor.
What exactly feels off?

I am not a doctor, but I have been reading and do study herbal medicines. Milk thistle is an excellent herb to clean the liver, also B12 and B6's supplements may help with the some of the damage due to its depletion when introducing this toxin into to your body. I would suggest a very healthy diet, and lots of water. It will help flush the chemicals out of your system.
