jannazuber, I'm sorry to hear about your child. Go easy on softwarechip. That person said nothing angry or offensive in comment #5 or #7. It seems that softwarechip is the only one willing to confirm what a lot of people are curious about... Does it actually do its job? It seems that the answer is no. It seems as though the bitterness bugs people in all cases except inhalation. I would say that the Bittergent emblem (with the line through a person holding a can to their mouth) is as effective as most anti-drug commercials: they achieve the opposite of their original intention. |

I'm 42 and I began using duster (CleanSafe made by IQ, DIFLUOROETHANE HFC-152a) 4 months ago. Ive been told more than once that I'm way too old to be using inhalants and I agree. Sure is a great high tho and much easier to hide than alcohol and other drugs. I certainly do not encourage huffing but I will share some of my experience. Bittergent certainly can make you sick. I have found that I get sick after I stop huffing. Im wondering if Bittergent itself is addictive. It seems the withdrawal symptoms are very similar to that of alcohol and heroin. I can be withdrawing from duster, vomiting, then take a huff and the nausea is completely gone. Ive been hospitalized more than once for these kind of withdrawal symptoms. Huffing computer duster is serious business. I once consumed 240 ounces in a 24-hour period. I was deathly ill afterward, but continued to use when I could get more. I realize a lot of people dont understand this. For me, its addiction, very much like alcohol. I encourage AA and other twelve step recovery programs - they have helped me, but recovery is a daily struggle. I would be grateful to hear from others. LetUsSpray- Like you said, inhalants is seen as a "teenage problem", so people passed their teen years are adamant to speak out about it. As you'll see on this board you are not alone. Thanks for sharing your experience and glad you are seeking help.
Please keep us posted on your progress, and continue to speak out about this issue as you are helping others. __________________ Queshia B

after sniffing "Clean Safe"(K-Mart) in Nov. 2009, with "Bittergent", I had various reactions that are still lasting. Included are: tingling in both feet, hair loss, weight loss, constipation, just o name a few and they are still prevalent. |
